On behalf of my entire staff, welcome!

BYM has been serving Manchester and its surrounding communities since January 9, 2005. Located in one of Manchester's historically signifant mill buildings, Mill West, this facility outgrew its original location and relocated only a few doors down in 2013.

The longevity of this facility is a testament to the power of authentic Bikram Yoga, defined as a precise routine of 26 specific beginner postures and 2 breathing exercises conducted over 90 minutes in a room heated to 105 degrees. When done consistently, Bikram Yoga changes lives - something I do not say casually - through introducing discipline, strength, and flexibility to its practitioners.

I take immense pride in providing my clients a safe, clean, welcoming, and lighthearted environment in which to embark on a yoga practice. My hope is that you will read through this website, familiarize yourself with the unique program I offer here, and excitedly schedule your first class with us.

I was first introduced to Bikram Yoga in September 2010. A friend of mine encouraged me to accompany her to the class. I was reluctant to try it. I was nervous about how hot the class could be, and also because I had never tried any type of yoga before. Halfway through class I thought to myself, that this is crazy, when will it end! It was only how great I felt the next day that made me think “I have to get back into the hot room.”

The more I practiced, the more my passion for yoga grew. For 20 years I have been a stay at home mom, taking care of my four children, my home, but the more I got into yoga the more I felt like I had finally found something just for me! In the Spring of 2013, I decide to venture off to Los Angeles for the nine week teacher training course, to become an instructor. I feel that yoga has truly changed my life, for that I feel blessed, and hope to show others what yoga can do for them.

Jeni took her first Bikram Yoga class in November 2010 at the insistence of her daughter, Ashley, who was currently at Bikram Yoga Teacher Training.  After not exercising for nearly a decade, besides putting on weight, she was suffering from numerous ailments, severe back pain, headaches, acid reflux, and plantar fasciitis. After practicing for only a month, all of her ailments were gone, and over the next two months, she shed 30 pounds. She was hooked.

In 2011, she completed a 365 day challenge, and then made the decision to become a teacher, which she completed in the fall of 2012 in LA. What Jeni loves most about Bikram Yoga is that anyone can do it, not matter how old, sick, or broken they are. She loves bringing her enthusiasm for the yoga to every class she teaches. When not teaching, Jeni enjoys practicing Bikram Yoga with her husband, Mike, as well as her three daughters.

My first Bikram Yoga class was not pleasant.  I had always been active with dancing and running and thought yoga would be a walk in the park.  Quickly, I discovered I was wrong as I entered the hot room in sweats.  Even more quickly, I realized the damage I had done to my joints and my body over the years.

I left my first class and promised myself to never go back.  To my surprise, shortly after class I started to feel pretty good, then great, then the next day, amazing!  Sure enough, my curiosity brought me back immediately and I’ve been hooked every since.  I’ve worked through and healed damaged joints and muscles and continue to feel recharged, reenergized, and balanced with a consistent practice.

In 2011 I became a teacher and sharing this lifelong practice is a wonderful and rewarding experience!

I began my Bikram Yoga practice in the Fall of 2010 as I entered my senior year of college. After years of damaging my knees playing basketball (12 surgeries to date), I knew I needed something that was low-impact but hoped to still find something that challenged me. I entered my first class, stepping into what I could only at the time presume to be a “torture chamber”. To say I struggled would be an understatement. Years of college basketball at the division II level and this had challenged me in more ways than any training session I had ever experienced. Full disclosure—I was not one of those “love at first sight” practitioners. I struggled to remain calm in the heat and felt miserable during my first few classes. But what I could not deny was that “feeling” this yoga gave me when I left, and I soon came to love and cherish this practice. I was being challenged physically, mentally, and emotionally in a way that allowed me to grow and improve in all of those areas; but instead of beating my body up, I was healing it. One of the things I love most about this yoga is how it always finds a way to give you exactly what you need at every point in your life. It forces you to press the pause button, to step away from the chaos and overflowing responsibilities and allows you to see yourself truly for the very first time. The hot room has provided me a place to relieve stress effectively, to self-reflect, to practice gratitude, to calm my “always worrying-mom-brain”, and to just check-in with myself to ensure that I am the person who I truly want to be. The list of benefits is never-ending. I feel grateful to be able to share this practice with so many different people and to be a part of such a positive community, and I can’t wait to see you in class!

Bikram yoga has been a part of my life for a long time. I took my first class in February 2000 when I was living in San Diego. The room was stifling, the teacher was strict, and I loved it. I was hooked. Being a runner and a poor sleeper, I found the yoga help me tremendously physically and mentally. I practiced the yoga everywhere I lived after San Diego, including Rhode Island and Portsmouth, NH. I went to teacher training Spring 2005 in L.A. I loved being immersed in the yoga bubble and being exposed to so many fantastic and inspirational teachers and students. I opened my own Bikram studio in Concord, NH in 2008 when my oldest son was 8 months old. I loved the community in Concord and felt blessed to have my dream job. After my third child, my work/family balance was way off that not even the yoga could fix! I sold the studio in 2014 and now enjoy teaching without the studio stress and pursuing other passions, like volunteering for CASA. I love watching the students push themselves and and I am inspired every day. I also enjoy hiking, skiing, and spending time outdoors with my family!

I went to Teacher Training for Inferno Hot Pilates in 2018… My mom (Angela) made me do it! She suggested that I take the training and haven’t looked back! I enjoy teaching for many reasons. I love pushing the student beyond what they think they are capable of accomplishing. At the end of the class I enjoy seeing them leave smiling. One step closer to their mental and physical goal.

I found my  way to yoga as a means of healing in 2005 during my junior year of high school. I was coming off of an eating disorder and wanted help to restore my body and mind. I did flow classes at the health club in Concord and began to take classes to become a teacher because she loved it so much. I took my first Bikram class in Manchester in 2006. When I went to college in Florida for a couple years I continued my flow practice every day in the dorms by myself but could find no studios to practice at. The only studio was a Bikram yoga studio so I began deepening her Bikram practice there. I soon realized how important the practice and community was for me. I did yoga competitions and began considering the teacher training. I knew that yoga, in particular Bikram yoga, had helped me transform and reclaim my life and wanted to share this with others. I went to the Bikram Yoga teacher training in Palm Desert in the Spring of 2009 and has continued to practice and teach since. I believe in the healing power of the hot room- the poses, the struggle, the coming out on the other side more capable and strong than before. I believe that yoga is a form of self discovery and that it starts on your mat. I a passionate in helping people feel as safe and empowered as possible as they show up to move through their own challenges- body mind and spirit- in the hot room.

Always open to new experiences, I took my first Bikram class in the summer of 2014. I can truly say that I loved it! That led to practicing on and off for the next five years. Even though I would take breaks, I would always find my way back to what I like to call “my little mat of transformation-body, mind and soul.”

After years of wear and tear on my body working as a hairstylist, I made the decision to become truly consistent and dedicated in my practice. The results were astounding. My best ideas are often found on my mat. That idea led me to teacher training this March.

Teacher training changed my life and teaching has been truly been transformational for me. Looking forward to seeing you in the hot room!

I took my first Bikram class in December of 2018.  A friend and I had a plot to hop from yoga studio to yoga studio on the introductory rates to do yoga “on the cheap.”  My friend picked first, and he chose Bikram Manchester solely due to its proximity to his apartment.  After reading the description, I tried to talk him out of it!  Luckily, he would not relent and we went with it anyway.  The first few classes were beyond difficult.  However, by the end of the introductory month, I was hooked by the incredible benefits of this restorative, healing practice and have never looked back. 

In the summer of 2019 I got certified to teach Inferno Hot Pilates.  The class is a fast, exciting complement to slow, meditative Bikram yoga.  Hot Pilates creates visible results of muscle tone and strength incredibly quickly.  That strength makes life easier and more graceful, on and off the yoga mat.  The brisk pace, fun music and group energy combined with the high intensity interval training makes an hour of productive exercise fly by, gives you lasting energy, and has you looking forward to the next class.  I hope to see you soon in the hot room!

As a newcomer to Bikram, all I can say is that you have to come and take a class. After, you'll want to sign up for membership. They offer a variety of affordable deals with experienced, friendly and knowledgeable instructors. Great atmosphere with clean facilities throughout. Do yourself a favor and stop by today.

I just went to my first bikram class and I could not be happier. I was overwhelmed at first because the heated room, the amount of people in the class, etc...but I learned to appreciate it. I didn't feel pressured to over perform and the instructor advised me to sit and watch if I ever felt uneasy. I sat in the back row to not be a distraction. It's the best feeling when the class is over. Just exiting the hot room and walking into the cool hallway is worth the class in general. My skin feels amazing. Can't wait to go regularly.

The yoga is incredible! The staff is well trained and pays attention to the students needs, no matter what their level!

I love the member price and even before I was a member I took advantage of the great off peak pricing. I like the variety of class times and the amazing teachers on staff. The studio is perfect with a large clean women's changing/shower room.

Bikram is a life changing experience, this yoga is a tremendous workout physically as well as mentally. The staff is professional and friendly and always available to answer questions. Facilities are kept clean.

Instructors are knowledgable, supportive, and encouraging. Large enough studio that there is rarely overcrowding in the room. 3 showers in the locker room is awesome! A studio that I used to practice at had one for the entire studio, and another studio that didn't have any! The studio is always clean. There also seems to be generous discounts available. Offering the new students $30 for 30 days sounds like a wonderful idea.
